John Acton »

John Acton is an Independent Engineering Consultant. Previously, John was the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Engineering at Compact Power Plc, the developer of a world leading pyrolysis and gasification technology. He is an expert in the waste processing and waste to energy sector. John is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (FIET). He graduated in Electrical Engineering from the University of London. John has considerable industrial experience as a consulting engineer (Ewbank Preece and Posford Pavry), process engineering in the chemical industry (CIBA Geigy, Duxford), Aluminium Smelting (Kaiser Engineers, Anglesey Aluminium), and the paper and printing industry (ES&A Robinson, Bristol). During his career he has gained extensive experience in the UK and internationally in projects involving the generation and distribution of power and related services.
